Car Mileage Allowances

Staff are reimbursed mileage expenses incurred on University business in accordance with the University's policy on travel and entertainment.

The quantum of mileage payable by the University is consistent with those approved by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and will be adjusted with ATO movements.

As of 1 July 2018, the ATO has adjusted the amount payable per kilometre.

All mileage is now paid at a flat rate of 68.00 cents per kilometre. 

Engine capacity is no longer factored into calculations.
