Permit to Work

The Permit To Work system is a formalised process to control work and access to identified areas designed to prevent incidents in the workplace. The written system is used to control certain types of work or work areas that are potentially hazardous and contains a permit to work document which specifies the work to be done and the precautions to be taken. This process authorises work only after safe procedures have been defined and they provide a clear record that all foreseeable hazards have been considered.
