OHS Considerations in Design and Research

Why is OHS Important in Design?

When designing any new piece of equipment or process, it is important to take into account any hazards which may be created. The application of design includes the creation of new equipment or processes including for research.

The University has developed the OHS Design Guidelines which incorporate a risk management approach when designing and creating new equipment or processes.
