About the OHS Unit

Injury Management

The University of Wollongong is committed to the prevention of injury and illness to its employees by providing a safe and healthy work environment.

On those occasions when injuries do occur it is equally committed to assisting in the process of providing a safe, timely and durable return to work of injured workers.

All injuries which occur travelling to and from work, at work or whilst conducting work related activities (field trips etc.) must be reported to the OHS Unit immediately via the University's online reporting system, Safetynet.

The University's Injury Management Program has been composed to reflect its commitment to the injury management process ensuring the best outcomes for employees within the framework set by the NSW workers compensation legislation.

The Return to Work Program outlines the framework for ensuring early return to work after a workplace injury. To see how the injury management process works please view the injury management flow chart.

For further enquiries regarding Injury Management or Workers Compensation phone the OH&S Unit on 4221 3931 or visit the WorkCover Injury Management FAQ.
