Emergency Evacuation Exercises

9 July, 2008

Emergency evacuation exercises were recently held for a number of buildings across campus. The exercises identified areas for improvement and allowed Wardens to test communication.

Why do we hold evacuation exercises?

These are designed to test the effectiveness of the current emergency procedures. They verify that processes are working effectively, nominated personnel understand their role and occupants respond to the situation.

Where is my assembly area?

These are displayed on the 'Standard Fire Orders' signs located in all buildings. They are also available from the Evacuation Assembly Areas web page.

Where can I find more information?

Further information can be found at the Emergencies web page.

Need more information? Please call the OH&S Unit on extension 3931.
