About the OHS Unit

Type 2 Diabetes

Free type 2 diabetes group programs available on campus

  • Accessible to staff, students and members of the local community who have type 2 diabetes (GP referral is required, program costs covered by Medicare)

Why become involved

  • Learn tools to incorporate into your lifestyle
  • Learn about exercise, diet and self-monitoring of diabetes
  • Programs are tailored to individual needs
  • On campus health service
  • Family members and friends are welcome and eligible to attend

What to expect

  • Program involves individual initial consult
  • 8 group based workshops/sessions of 60 minute duration
  • Comprehensive written reports sent to GP

  •  mid May 2008
