Be Safe - Not Sorry, This Christmas?

For many, Christmas is a fun time of year celebrating with family and friends with gift giving and enjoying food and drinks. With all this happening, what are some key things we should consider that might impact our celebrations over the Christmas period?

1. Some of us are keen to get away and drive to our holiday destination for rest and relaxation. Consider those issues related to driving that will allow us to reach our destination safely.

2. Children enjoy the colours and sparkle of lights and decorations. Consider the safety aspects of setting up displays, e.g. lighting. Remember that young children are attracted to decorations.

3. Some people take the opportunity over the Christmas holiday period to tackle maintenance and DIY projects around the house. Assess those hazards that exist and act to ensure those hazards don't injure you or somebody else.

Take the time to think and act to ensure you and your family are safe over Christmas!

Please don't hesitate to contact our team with any questions you may have or by phoning the OHS unit x3931.
