I INJURED MYSELF WHILST PLAYING FOR ONE OF THE UNIVERSITY’S CLUBS AND THEY HAVE THEIR OWN INSURANCE.  WHO DO I MAKE A CLAIM THROUGH?
Students injured from their involvement in playing/training with the UOW clubs do have basic cover under their own policies, and, compensation should be sought from the clubs policy first.  Should certain incidents or losses not be covered by club policies, such as loss of wages, then a claim may be made under the UOW Ace policy provided it includes confirmation from the club’s insurer that the claim loss is excluded under the club’s policy.  Once limits have been exhausted under the club’s policy, students may then submit a claim under UOW’s ACE Policy.
