REPRESENTATIVE COMMITTEES

General Staff Consultative Committee

The University of Wollongong Enterprise Agreement 2005 establishes a General Staff Representative Committee which is consulted on the implementation of the enterprise agreement, workplace changes and other workplace issues.

A ballot is conducted every 2 years to elect 3 staff representatives to this committee in addition to representatives nominated by each of the unions party to the enterprise agreement.

A secret ballot was conducted in April 2006. The following CPSU members nominated for these positions and were elected.

General Staff Review Committees

Committees operate to implement the "Promotion and Reclassification" clause in the enterprise agreement (section 14). Their functions are to:
  • Review submissions for promotion and reclassification to Level 8-9
  • Review appeals where a submission for promotion and reclassifcation has been unsuccessful.
A ballot is conducted every 3 years to elect 4 staff representatives to a pool from which the staff member involved in the reclassification may select 2 to sit on the committee dealing with their case.

A secret ballot was conducted in April 2006. The following CPSU members nominated for these positions and were elected.
