Special Consideration
What is Special Consideration?
The student logs onto SOLS to enter a Special
Consideration Application.
Students are only permitted to apply for special consideration
for subjects in which they are currently enrolled or
for which the session finished no more than five days
previously. Their course status must be ACTIVE.
Special consideration application
are submitted by the student to ARD along with anysupporting documentation (eg Doctor's Certificate). The documentation is verified by ARD and details of the dates the student was affected from/to
are confirmed. ARD also enter a description of the illness
or situation that requires special consideration.
An email is then sent to the Subject Co-ordinator
advising them that there is a special consideration request waiting
for a reply. If the student advises that no documentation
