22/11/2008 - Scheduled System Outage - Please be advised that there will be a scheduled outage to SMP_Central (and other SMP programs such as SOLS and SAI) on Saturday 22nd November from 09:00 to 17:00. Please refer to the notes below for details on how to Import Marks into SMP_Central if you wish to work on results outside of SMP_Central and import the marks once the system is available.

How do I enter a grade of WH (Withheld) or TF (Technical Fail)?

1) Click on the Final Marks Tab 2) Ensure that no mark is showing in the Composite % (if a mark is showing, highlight the mark and press the delete button on the keyboard) 3) Click 'Grade' (the 'Grade' option that appears at the top of the screen - Save|Preview|Export|Import| Grade |Publish|Show Wthd) 4) Any student who does not have a mark will be highlighted in pink (and a drop down menu will appear in the Grade column) 5) Select the grade you want from the drop down menu and remember click 'Save' 6) Click Edit (Save|Preview|Export|Import| Edit |Publish|Show Wthd) to go back to editing the marks (Composite %).

From Autumn Session 2008 - The following changes will be made to the Final Marks on SMP_Central:

Withheld Results, WA, WM and WO have been discontinued and replaced with WH. A new grade TF (Technical Fail) has been introduced, available for selection when no mark has been entered. If you fail to publish a class, grades of ND - Not Declared will automatically be assigned. IPC (In Progress Coursework) will replace the use of NC (Not Complete) where the subject continues once the session end date has been reached. Click Here to view further details.

   

FAQ - Why can't I see my class(es)?

For Subject Coordinator, Lecturer and/or Tutor access to a particular class(es) please contact the staff member in your Faculty responsible for maintaining the Subject Database - Click Here to view the list of Staff Responsible for Maintaining this access. This type of access can be set-up immediately via staff associations within the Subject Database.
