Manager, Internal Audit – Mr Kevin Yong
With a deep and involved interest in audit, financial accounting, IT and management skills, Kevin hails from the financial services industry, but currently enjoys the opportunities and challenges in his role in UOW under a more diverse working environment. The different profiles and requirements of internal stakeholders in UOW provide him with options to exercise better ideas and approaches in assurance evaluations, project management and business relationship management. He appreciates being able to utilise risk-focussed methodologies to combine with his background as an Australian CPA and a Malaysian Chartered Accountant. Kevin believes in no-surprises with UOWIA clients and thrives on being able to deliver useful outcomes from any assignment. He views effective communication and good governance as critical to the success of any undertaking, and values team spirit.
